Although in the vast majority of cases lease extensions or collective enfranchisement claims are resolved privately between the parties, occasionally, if a settlement cannot be reached, it may be necessary to litigate in either the Court, the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal ("LVT") or the Lands Tribunal.

Tolhurst Fisher LLP will represent you in court, LVT and the Lands Tribunal proceedings either personally or, if more cost-effective for you, by instructing a barrister on your behalf.

Assistance with drafting deeds and contracts

With lease extension and collective enfranchisement claims it is necessary to draft deeds and contracts to facilitate the process. A poorly worded or improperly executed document will, at best, delay the process and, at worst, can potentially lead to thousands of pounds of litigation or invalidate your claim altogether.
